This is my first attendance on Women With ADHD!! I'm looking forward to finding out more about myself so that I can help to uncomplicate my home/school life. I am 38 & have known that I have ADHD since before age 5yrs. It's definitely a blessing & a curse!! I am married for the second time but I have twin girls with my first husband. My husband now seems to be A LOT more supportive in most every area but, I still have to deal with the ex-husband very often. One of my twins has ADHD and it pains me to know how she struggles daily and that this is just the beginning of her struggles. I want to learn how to help both of us so maybe she can avoid some of the pitfalls that often follow ADHD.

Hi Joy,
Thanks for being open and honest about your difficulties. I'm sorry it's not more clear- I will have to fix that.

My site at www.MomsWithADD.com is just like the site here. It's free and it's simply a way to connect with other moms wiht ADD via my forums.

I blog on a regular basis and offer a cool (free) newsletter, too. Just hop over to www.MomsWithADD.com and sign up for the newsletter at the right, visit the forums, read my blogs and well...meet some really nice people!

Hope to see you there!

I am very interested in joining in these support/chats. I'm just not really sure how it works??? Could someone give me a clue? I get a lot of emails from this site and honestly, they ALL sound really great, but I'm not sure how to do any of this??? I think my fear of failing is keeping me from trying, as usual. It would help if someone could just say, "this is how it works, you do this and this, etc..."

Hi Meegan,
I hope you'll join me there (and here, as well!) at www.MomsWithADD.com . Lots of women are facing the same or similar challenges. : )

I am so relieved to know that I am not the only one outthere! This has definitely been a journey!!! I am so ready to find out how to get organized and stay that way. My daughter was also recently diagnosed with ADHD I used to be so hard on her and now I know it wasnt her being disobedient it was because she is Truly Special :) Just like me!
