I'M AT WORK. I'M GETTING ON THE DIALER SYSTEM, GETTING READY TO START MAKING CALLS. I CANNOT FIGURE OUT, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, WHY MY PHONE ISN'T WORKING. I START TO GET FRUSTRATED, AS I'VE ATTEMPTED TO GET ON THE DIALER AT LEAST 3 TIMES, WITHOUT GETTING A DIAL TONE. I START CALLING OUT TO MY SUPERVISOR THAT MY PHONE ISN'T WORKING. SHE FINALLY SAYS, "IT'S PROBABLY THE OPERATOR." I THEN SAY, "YOU'RE PROBABLY RIGHT, BUT NONE THE LESS, IT'S NOT WORKING." SHE WALKS OVER TO MY DESK, LAUGHS, AND SAYS, "DO YOU THINK IT MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT YOUR HEADSET IS ON YOUR DESK AND NOT ON YOUR HEAD WHERE IT BELONGS?" EVERYONE JUST STARTED LAUGHING, INCLUDING MYSELF. EVEN FUNNIER, I DID IT 2 MORE TIMES THE VERY NEXT DAY, BUT I CAUGHT MYSELF BEFORE I STARTED YELLING OUT, THAT MY PHONE WASN'T WORKING. LOL

Permalink Reply by Flora on December 25, 2011 at 6:48am This is something that normally happens to me: where is the peanut butter / some other food item / any tangible thing? Then I'll find out it was in THE FIRST PLACE I LOOKED AND I TOTALLY DID NOT SEE IT lmao
Permalink Reply by Liz on December 25, 2011 at 9:58pm Flora, that happens to me all the time when something doesn't look like I expect it to look. Peanut butter has a pretty medium blue cover on the jar, so I haven't been able to find it in the cabinet since I decided to try a different brand that has a DARK blue cover. LOL.

I wear contacts during the day, but at night and sometimes on the weekend, if I'm not going out, I'll wear my glasses. Several times I've looked for my glasses when I had them on. LOL I'm a freak, I swear.
