Exactly...and who better to advocate than us...ourselves...I try to 'educate' at every opportunity, by 'sharing' openly and without apology, about how I 'operate'. I dont present myself as someone who 'isnt all there'...or 'isnt as capable'...or 'operating at a deficit'. I present myself as someone who 'sees it from another direction'. Wired a bit differently, but the lights still come on...know what I mean? lol...it's up to us. ..the best part? My mantra? I do it without apology. People don't apologize for diabetes, or BP or whatever...and I ain't apologizing for ADD anymore...! People follow my lead..it's fascinating ...as far as that video goes...that was sooooo long ago...perhaps ppl in their 70s or so, are still old school thinkers about MANY things,,but they also still want to use rotary dial phones...that's ok:)

...I'm with you, Nancy..that last paragraph...and I'm thankful, also, for all the literature at our disposal...it just downright rocks!!

What I find so crazy about this video is that it is 100% ADD stuff they are talking about. I could see if it was just being messy or whatever, but the nails tapping on the desk, the social situation where at first she doesn't say anything and then talks too much and interrupts.... it is almost like someone was looking at a list of ADD symptoms when they made this. Oh and I loved the parody video of this. I wonder who watched these. Was it played in high schools as part of home ec or something? The guy that did the parody video did them on a bunch of others too. There was one about dating and it said something like, give the woman a couple of choices but don't leave it up to her or she will get frustrated and confused, lol!
