Military Wives with ADHD

I wanted to start a group for Military Wives with ADHD because being one myself I know how difficult it can be. I wanted a place we can share our trials and what helps us cope. :)

Hi ive, I am actually from Germany and we have been stationed there several times, but unfortunately I had not been diagnosed then. Any questions you have about living there, I can definitely help you with. As for medication, I can't see why you would be unable to get what you need.

Hello LDT! Welcome to the group. Unfortunately I havent been on much lately because of life getting in the way but I am glad you joined! I struggle with feelings of inadequacy no matter how much my husband reassures me I am great. We dont have kids yet, but part of that reason is that I am worried I would be a horrible parent. I am pretty sure I will forget where I left the baby. lol. It is a daily struggle for me. I wish I could take some of your organizing skills because lord knows I need them! I am horrible at organizing and cleaning. If you ever need to talk please feel free to message me! :)

Hello, I am new to this site. I just found out about a half a ago that I have ADHD. I am 43 with 3 kids. The oldest two were diagnosed with ADHD and since their symptoms were similar to what I have experienced all my life, I opted to be tested and it was positive. The only one lucky so far is my youngest :-) I some how was always able to manage being extremely organized almost OCD like. People always commented on how organized I was. But with each child and move I started loosing it. Right now I am in the middle of another move and can barely hold it together. Do any of you have this huge feeling of inadequacy, being a lousy mother and wife?

Hey ladies! I am so sorry its been so long since I wrote! Things have been so busy here I hardly have had time to catch my breath. This deployment is going as good as can be expected. Had a few rough patches and breakdowns (like yesterday when I found my ipod in the bottom of the washing machine, it was a gift from the hubby). But overall I am handling it alright. Trying not to beat myself up about not getting everything I want done at once. I put too much pressure on myself. Anyway I must dash, so I am not late for an appt. Hope to hear from yall soon!

My first husband's nephew was in the Stars and Stripes 5 Feb. He is now deployed to Afganistan with the 170th out of Germany. He missed his 3 yr old's birthday by a few weeks.

It's nice having some other ladies here. ~ Marr

Hey ladies! I know I havent be on much lately. I fear this deployment has been rougher than I was expecting and there are a lot of times that I feel so overwhelmed. I realize now that I had become so used to the medication taking care of stuff, that when the stress kicked in and the medication stopped helping as much, I felt lost and scared. I am starting to slowly get control and hopefully will be back to a shadow of my former self soon :). I found a calendar program that has REALLY helped me! I hope everyone is doing well! I am still here if anyone needs to talk! Have a great day everyone!
