Hi All! My husband and I want to start trying for a baby but I am absolutely petrified to go off my adderall for that long. My OB said that I could stay on my Prozac but not adderall. :( I was also told by the doc that there really isn't anything out there for ADHD that has been proven safe for pregnancy. My OB did say that Wellbutrin was a new antidepressant that some say helps with ADHD symptoms and would be okay for pregnancy. I have so much trouble getting through the work day with out it. I just stare off into space and very non-motivated.
To top it off, I started a new job last August and went from an Office Manager to an Emergency Management Specialist for the Department of Agriculture. The new job is alot more demanding and my manager just recently took another position so everything is in limbo right now with the program. That being said, it is not unusual for me to put in 50 hour weeks and to travel around the state of Missouri 3 days a week. My Department Director and Deputy Director are very proactive and demanding. The program is fairly new to the Department so I basically have to write my own job duties but expected to be available 24/7 and always on the job. Writing my own ticket could good and bad thing. For my ADHD, I struggle because I don't have any guidance or structure. I am scared that I will really struggle getting through the day with my ADHD medicine on top of pregancy hormones. OUCH!
Any suggestions or thoughts?

Hi Rachel, I just joined the Missouri group and saw this post. How are you doing? I had a baby last May (my 2nd) and still am not taking ADD medication / except for Wellbutrin / because I'm breastfeeding. I really wish I could get on meds ... instead I just drink much more coffee than I should.
