My blog is called Neuroadventures. You can find it at http://neurodeviant.blogspot.com/
It's kind of a mishmash of my ramblings about ADHD, mental health stigma, and sometimes my job as a psych nurse. I have to watch that part, since it's as anonymous as one can get these days. If someone wanted to track me down, they could....
Any feedback would be awesome. I find that most of my traffic actually comes from this site!
I get more pageviews lately, although I have a grand total of 3 subscribers...lol.
Welcome to the group Galadriel. I worked in the medical field for many years and even worked on the psych ward many times when they were short staffed I was pulled from my unit or to translate as I am hispanic, or times to do a ONE on ONE. Not sure what your unit may call those. One time I was called up to the psych unit to translate for a hispanic lady that was in the middle of a schizophrenic episode. She keep talking to her one daughter who was not in the room and ignoring the nurses who only wanted to get her to take her meds. I have many stoires! You have a very stressful demanding job. Good for you for starting a blog and getting your thoughts out. I stopped over and gave you a follow and left my blog info.
I saw that- thanks! you are follower # 4! Yaaaaay, I'm famous, or maybe infamous... I love my job. It is a struggle, I have to put every bit of energy I have into being organized enough to do the paperwork and have a few minutes left for the patients. It's hard to put the effort in when the inpatient ppl see them only when they are sickest and they still aren't good when they leave. I'm lucky enough to work for a temp agency and I staff clinics too. I see all the versions of them.... They think I never go home.
