Can I vent? (also titled -I hate my boss) - kinda long

Although I'm younger (26) I can relate. Intelligent people tend to get bored sooner anyway, so maybe you shouldn't chose a job below your skill level. If you really like math, I would just try to do a Phd. Don't worry about the future. I learned fro…

Yes, I feel the same. I jump from entry level job to entry level job. I've had some good starts that could have taken me places but i'd find an excuse because I was to overwhelmed at the pressure of doing well or pushing harder. I think I would be g…

I did become a nurse - but I couldnt handle the paperwork - Either I quit jobs too quickly or was fired - from at least 15 jobs (been a nurse for 40 years) I was always the marginal nurse -Each new job - I would think - this is a great job - I know…

I've bought a plastic file-folder-thingie and started dropping my lists in it (except for the computer ones and grocery list). It helps me to have a place to put them, maybe because I don't have to worry about losing them or remembering that I made…

I'm taking Adderall and Cymbalta; my doc says that they work well together. The Cymbalta definitely helps my depression, at least at first (just started it again about a month ago - was on it for awhile and went off it in January to get brain scans).

I feel as i I've been going through an identity crisis my whole life. (I'm 46.) Anyone else feel that way? I haven't found a career that's satisfying. I let circumstances take me from job to job without really having a plan (or not for long). I got…

I should add... I've been spending pretty impulsively again lately (lost 40 pounds and have been getting new clothes, for instance) so need to rein myself in again - don't know if this will be a continual struggle, suspect it will.

I have impulse control issues with money, too, and have had a therapist call it addiction. I got out of credit card debt last year, finally, by being very conscious about it. There is a book about ADD and money (I got it but haven't read it yet :) -…
