Stimulants and Schizophrenia

I have a family history of ADD but also have a brother with schizophrenia.  Both issues are believed to be caused by dopamine, but currently it's believed that ADD = too little dopamine and schizophrenia = too much dopamine. Because stimulants are suppose to increase dopamine levels, there is concern that taking stimulants could trigger schizophrenia in vulnerable people (that would be me). On the other hand, one study showed that Vyvanse (an ADHD drug) showed promise for treating…See More

Connors Continuous Performance Test

THIS is the test that I took!Apparently it's like 14 minutes long or something.  When I took it I was sitting in a drab office by myself.  It was nothing like real life.  I was suppose to click the mouse when I saw letters appear on the screen unless there was an X, then I wasn't suppose to press it.I remember that I was annoyed with myself because I kept clicking themouse as soon as the screen shifted, kind of like it was by reflex, and then I would realize it was an X and I shouldn't have…See More
