Just a thought on your comment about there possibly being a medical reason not to use Adderall and Strattera together. Whenever you have ANY question about ANY medication, the best person to ask is your pharmacist. They have a strong educational bac…
Karen, I've heard only good things about acupuncture. What a great idea and that's so cool that you get to try it. Definitely let me know if it does impact any of your issues, okay? I'd love to hear about how your appointment goes.
Good Luck!!
Adderall and most of the other stimulants (Ritalin, Strattera, Dexedrine) didn't work at all for me. Has Vyvanse made a difference for either of you over the Adderall? It doesn't sound like a significant difference for you, Maureen, but how about yo…
Hey Karen - How's it going for you lately? It's crapsville here these days, but like I said in my answer to Pattie, I'm hoping that in time, things will turn around some. We shall see if I've chosen a useful med to change over to. It was suggested b…
Hi Pattie - Like Karen, I also have ADD (I don't add the H because I've never been hyperactive) plus longterm clinical depression. (I'd probably have PMS as well except that I haven't had a period since I was 40.) However, unlike Karen, antidepressa…
I get irritated by misspelling all the time as well as bad grammar. It's like the proverbial nails across a chalkboard! I can almost forgive these bloopers in handwritten notes, but they seem to have taken a prominent position in printed matter thes…
Wow, your symptoms sound very much like depression to me. I feel EXACTLY the same today as you do. (It must be true what "they" say...misery loves company.) I'm very familiar with depression symptoms as I've been struggling with it on and off for tw…
OMG Karen, I think I might actually have that book you mentioned...somewhere. I bought several on the subject quite some time ago, but they've each sort of disappeared. Every so often, I run into one. I started reading each one after I bought them,…
I take gel capsules, too. I went thru menopause at 40, so I would definitely be able to tell if they were helping or not. I don't know. Maybe I should give it a try. Haven't checked out the Lovaza site yet, but I should learn more there.
Thanks,
Pat
Hi Pat,
I just thought I'd talk directly to you. I think the Lovaza is 4 grams or 4000 mg. You take 4 pills a day or really gel capsules. They definitely don't hurt me. I don' t know if I can tell they help. I am menopausal too which worsens things so it is hard to weed out what helps sometimes. I guess that is true for other people too with hormone fluctuations.
Dr. Hallowell mentions good fish oils but I don't remember the names of them.

Pat - I know you struggle with depression and I really need someone to talk to who won't be afraid of things I might say. If you're able to listen, please email me at leygirl1@gmail.com. I'm not taking meds anymore and haven't been able to see my therapist since early November and I'm in a really BAD place these days. Thanks.
Pat, Do you live in S.B./Ventura.
I have a website SBNative.org
Love to talk to you. Struggles w/these issues all my life.

Patty Ann! I'm so glad I found you! Email me at Annie12345@aol.com and let's chat about the good ol' days. Know what keeps sticking in my mind? When you let the hair on your leg grow in one spot so you could have a leg moustache! Talk to me! I want to know what happened to Josh and Adam as well as you!
