It is kind of funny, I am the opposite of you. I was the first diagnosed, but I think 2 of my 3 kids have it for sure, the other is too little to know yet. My oldest is more like me with it, but my o…

My Treatment Has Stalled--So Annoyed

Sorry you are having to deal with this, but we live in a CYA society now. They have to worry about people suing them if they don't check on every tiny detail. It doesn't make sense to me though for t…

Positive traits of ADHD

I am also creative. I always find better and faster ways of getting things done. I have self taught myself (uh sounds weird) to knit, play guitar, and do just about anything on a computer. I am good…

I was raised not to laugh at other people's misery, but this is the funniest thread I have read to date. I can relate because I remember of trying many of the same hair removal procedures and ending up with pretty much the same painful results. I le…

I am the same way at home. Except I can plan plan plan... and nothing gets done. I have a notebook that tells me everything to do, but I won't take it out and do it. (Well, sometimes I do.) I guess at home we KNOW that we aren't going to lose our jo…

I agree with a lot of what Maggie said, but also KP, this is probably a person who wants you to like them, but thinks you do not (probably due to some ADD stuff). I say that because I have had at least 5 people come up to me at different points in m…

Oh, the electricity thing does drive me crazy. My husband has this annoying habit of turning on the TV everytime he walks into our bedroom. A lot of times he turns it on, but we have had a dvd in, so it is not getting a signal. I can't stand that so…

I figured he would, he sounds a lot like my DH. I think you actually have a great way of getting important things across to him by writing it down. However, it might still be good to take your points (written down already) and say them to him. If yo…

Those sausage things sound really good! I have been looking for a microwave egg poacher, I have a stove top one, but I have messed them up a couple of times by not setting the timer right, etc. Do you take any stimulants for your adhd? I was just w…

The best breakfast for me so far has been protein and caffeine. I found a plastic microwave egg poacher, and it takes 1 minute for 1 egg. I put a piece of bread in the toaster and an egg in the microwave, and grab coffee on the way out the door and…

My son, who is now 30, had a poor appetite as a kid. He had ADHD and was on Ritalin. I used to give him chocolate Ovaltine in the morning and he loved it. If you look on the can it has lots of vitamins and minerals added, but he just liked the taste.

Hello:

Sorry I was slow to accept your invitation. I got unexpected, but delighted company. They arrived at my house from Sunday and stayed through Thursday morning. It was a friend of mine, who moved six years ago after she lost her job of 12 years in the town I live in. She moved all the way across the State of Wisconsin. We hardly have a chance to visit because neither of us have the money to cover the cost of gas. Her daughter, who had a baby two month's ago, had a situation that came up and needed to come back to where I live. So while the daughter attended to business, my friend and I took care of her baby and the daughter's dog. I have two, myself, so I had what seemed like a full house. It, also, has been a long time since I had a two month old in my house.

I am back online and trying to catch-up on email and such.
